Fashion Week Favorites - Trends - Kaleidoscope, Flowers, & Yellow

With all of the flowing, undulating, radiating colors, patterns and prints, you could see that the designers were looking through Kaleidoscope Eyes! Ok, ok, I promise, that's the last weirdo trend-speak you'll hear from me. Seriously though, while some of these did resemble the optical illusion world of a kaleidoscope, others had a more painterly quality, clearly evolved from the watercolor-splattered pieces of earlier seasons.

More typically for spring, there were, as usual, lots of beautiful Floral Prints. The interpretation, as above, was wide-ranging, as designers clearly borrowed from photographic prints, chinoiserie, and the work of Vera, amongst other inspirations.

Another super common trend this season, that I hate to admit we've seen just about every Spring for the past five years or so, is bright, happy Neon Yellow. Despite it's continued ubiquitousness, I'm still happy to see it again. I guess it just feels so summery, it's impossible to let it go!
